Owner, Matt Randall took over the family business in the summer of 2006 with a vision of creating Sheridan's best casual dining experience. infuses every dish he creates with his  passion for perfection. Once word of his tasty signature dishes got out, offers from many well known restaurants landed on Matt's plate. Although he had opportunities for other locations he knew that greater challenges and opportunities awaited him in Sheridan. He knew that in order to create the dishes he wanted to share with the world, using only the freshest ingredients available, he would have to establish his own restaurant in a town that would capture the taste of home cooked meals.

Matt took over the Red Onion in the summer of 2006. Before he changed any of the family dish's, he vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of passion and creativity. Critics have been raving ever since.
